All,
Wow, the last few days have been extremely busy, and next week doesn't look any easier. Everybody else is probably in the same boat (especially all of the KPMG folks...hang in there until April 15th!).....but Spring time is here! Slow down and enjoy the beauty of all the new plants - before pollen season hits.
I have added some links over on the right side of the page:
- "Japan Today" is the best English site about current events in Japan
- "Atlanta Beltline" is the official site about the proposed Beltline transit system
- "Homepage" is our .Mac website. It is a work in progress!
Last weekend Nobuko & I finally made it to the Super-H Mart. If BHFM is Cub Foods, then this place is Publix. It was ok, but I thought it was a little overpriced. And I could do without all of the stares from the ultra-conservative Korean "obasans". I mean, Come On! It's 2005...you think they would have seen an inter-racial couple by now.
For Japanese news, on Sunday nights Album 88.5 plays J-pop/rock/rap/??? They were playing bands from SXSW tonight. I listened to a band called Bleach (I liked them...but how could I not like 3 j-girls playing rock music), and the Electric Eel Shock (playing next week at the EARL). The radio program is interesting & wide-ranging, but Nobuko hates it! She says I listen to it just to make fun of "her people". I am just hoping that one day I'll hear the Nihongo version of PuffyAmiYumi's "Teen Titans"....
After Japanese class Saturday, we went to Umezono and had a big bowl of chirashi. Oiishi! And at Tomato I saw two Pana-world people (one of them was Craig's boss). Nobuko says it's a small world.
Happy belated birthdays to Ayako & Marian!
